The latest x8 firmware news from the XDA forums is as follows:
GingerCyBorg 2.3.5 v003 – based on MiniCM with honeycomb features and DX libraries
GingerXperia v7 – again based on MiniCM but with Xperia apps and nice styling
GingerDX v15 – lightweight based on Gingerbread from the CM nightlies
FroyoBread v023b Final – MiniCM6 with features from Gingerbread, note this is the final version if you like his work move onto Ginger DX
MiniCM7 2.0.7 – x8 port of MiniCM which is based on Cyanogen(mod) 7.1

just installed gingerxperia v7 with xrecovery on x8 but stuck on SE logo. any suggestion?
I guess you can’t power the phone off or take the battery out? If you can’t get back to recovery then you’ll need to ‘repair’ the phone by updating the software in PC Companion. If you can get to recovery wipe cache and reboot if still no luck then reset to factory defaults/full wipe and if still no luck try a different firmware.
I don’t know why people are still using xRecovery, when you get your phone back into gear install CWM Recovery instead (if you really want you can install xRecovery too as CWM supports dual recovery). Good luck and hope you can get it back without minimal hassle.
