This thread reserved for common issues and possible fixes for cyanogen mod 7 for Xperia X8
1) Wi-fi is not working
No, it’s not. Devs are working on it. Be patient
note : Racht’s rom is working fine
2)Games lags and some games won’t even starts (emulators)
Yes, the performance in that area is not maximized yet. Dev’s still working on it
3) Camera suck
Again, dev’s working on it.
4)Data don’t work
Go to setting/wireless and network/mobile network and enable data
If it’s still not working, check access name, make sure you get the right one.
Not working again, reflash your entire rom.
5) Reboot problem because of superusers apps
It has been determined that this reboot problem happen when superusers enabled apps like root explorer, barnacle, titanium back up and etc is shutted down either by users or the android system. To avoid this, exclude these kind of apps from your task killer if you use one. Don’t exit these apps, just press home button and suspend it. The reboot will happen when android system kill this apps to free up resources. This issues is currently being investigate by the amazing developers of this rom.
And skype may be the subject of this problem as well for unknown reason.
I will update this as time progressed.
6)Video streaming not working
Dev are working on it.
7) Can’t find any screenshot apps that works
Use this one.
8) Battery drain problem
Full wipe via xrecovery and clear battery stat
9) Market problem, battery drain problem, app2sd problem

10) 3G or data don’t work
Go to setting/wireless and network/ mobile network and enable data

of course it drains, but performance is better than the stock right? lol
satisfied with it.
try a factory reset. If problem still persist, reflash the rom.
i updated with the zip file again. i flashed 015 baseband also but still the battery is draining too fast with normal use.
Then it’s probably because of apps running in the background. Try using setcpu or apps similar to that to act as an autokiller to processes.
Racht’s CM7 0.9 has wifi and video plays fine ..

Try updating your phone to the latest basband and flashing your back the the custom rom. Things tend to go haywire when you install custom rom without the latest baseband (unless the dev stated otherwise)
i have flashed the 015 baseband before i flashed the rom but i don’t want to do it again because i don’t want to backup everything and then restore it it’s lenghty :(((
Hmm… okay the, are you sure it’s not working? If you’re on the latest baseband already, just do a full wipe in the xrecovery (use titanium to back up your apps)then test the proximity sensor.

Hang on, do you use the apk method or the manual 3 files method?

The bluetooth switched on, but can not find my pc from x8 (or x8 from pc).
Go to bluetooth setting and check ”make device discoverable”
)))))))
PC always dicoverable.
X8 – also dicoverable.
When I use search on X8, it doesn’t show any devices. When I use search on PC, I see all bluetooth devices except X8
Hmm, post that in the installation thread. But in the mean times I recommend you try this following first :
1) Are you in the latest baseband?
2) Go to xrecovery, advance option and clean dalvik cache
Still no result with wiped dalvick.

i can’t use bluetooth and can i access to android market?its seems like i even can’t use htc sense live wallpaper…so sad about that.
3d work but why cannot play game 3d like nfs shift ?
Post in the installation thread or perhaps try reflash the rom

hi, I just installed update.zip and it keeps saying “SD is now safe to remove”. I removed it and inserted it again and the same thing.
Plus, I did the full wipe from xrecovery.

I’m trying to upgrade my XPERIA X8 from Android 2.1.1 to Android 2.3.3
I’ve rooted and installed xRecovery (also made a backup of current ROM) and now I’m supposed to flash cm7 rom but I’m unsure how to do this. I’ve downloaded CM7_RC4_X8_007 but I’m not exactly sure what to do with files inside… how and in which order should I “flash cm7 rom” ?
Do I need ROM Manager app for this or is everything done from xRecovery? Do I need to transfer the whole CM7_RC4_X8_007 folder to my phone?
If it’s not a problem, please give me a quick list of steps to follow.

Don’t need to extract. Just put the zip file on ur sd card. Then in xrecovery pick instal custom zip file and find the zip file you have put on. That’s called flashing
Still unsure about which file to put on sd card. CM7_RC4_X8_007 was .rar (CM7_RC4_X8_007.rar) when I’ve downnloaded it. Inside there is: BASEBAND, changelog.txt, gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip, LiveWallpapers.zip and update.zip.
Now I’m guessing I need to put update.zip on my sd card and flash it using xRecovery?
And what about BASEBAND and X10FlashTool.exe inside it? Do I need to also run this tool? My current phone baseband is: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
And my last question is: What are these files – gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip, LiveWallpapers.zip and how get them running?
Or do I just need to zip the whole CM7_RC4_X8_007 folder and use xRecovery to flash it?

I think only the update zip, the flashtool is for you to get to the latestt baseband and you have already. The file you asked is I think a changelog but I’m not truly sure, ask the dev in the installation thread
put the 3 zip files in the sd card, use xrecovery to intall the update.zip and use the advance update or whatever in xrecovery to install the liveWallpapers and the googleApps.

Hi guys, I have the same issue as Marco with 3G connectivity, the mobile network options says its enabled but still it does not connect with it at all, it goes straight to 2G network.
Is there something I can do to fix this?
